Here is the picture of the outside of my van. Looking a bit dull I know, but behind those trees and shrubs at the front of my garden is a fabulous sea view! The pic below is the evening sunset, taken with a zoom, from the side window behind my caravan. Anyway, I plan to pop down there this half term week and chop those trees down so I can have a full view of the sea (well, actually, it's the estuary.....) and the beach.

My Static Caravan
Caravans are cool these days, but the naffest of the naff, the ugly old static, is still regarded as the ugly duckling of the caravan world. These corrugated container boxes, usually standing in rows upon rows, are often met with snorts of derision as images of cheap seaside holidays on parks overrun with screaming brats spring to mind. However, I've always had a place in my heart for the underdog, so whilst others lust after the shiny American bullets, or the cuter than cute, tiny retro touring vans, my heart belongs to the static. So last August, I bought one, a vintage one that needs a few licks of paint, some crochet blankets and some serious TLC, but it's by a North West coastline and within a stone's throw of Liverpool so there will be plenty for me to do from my retro retreat! I am going to keep a blog and, hopefully, incude plenty of pix as my project progresses.
